About Rural Energy Alliance

Helping communities spend less on energy and more on their mission.

REA exists to make energy programs easier to understand and more accessible to the communities that need them most.

Why We Exist

Energy costs can place a major burden on rural organizations and families.

We connect organizations and residents with available grant funding, energy efficiency opportunities, renewable energy education and trusted technical guidance. Our work focuses on practical solutions that improve affordability, resilience and long-term sustainability.

Rural Energy Alliance is a growing nonprofit, and we value building relationships with people and organizations that care about stronger, more energy-resilient communities. We love to connect—whether you want to collaborate, share resources, host a conversation or simply learn more about our work, please reach out.

Our Mission

To educate and empower rural communities by improving access to energy efficiency, renewable energy resources and funding opportunities.

Board of Directors

Rural Energy Alliance is guided by a volunteer board committed to responsible stewardship and community service.
